Fun at Every Turn !
Fun you say? Tell me about it.
Oh boy, and how! Fun Fun Fun Fun Fun ! No other youth program quite matches up to scouting for the wide variety of activities and opportunities for participation that scouting provides. The scouting program is tied together with an emphasis on having fun. Each rank has its own goals and achievements, each appropriate for the age of the scout. But as we work on our advancement and contributions to the community, we mix in all sorts of games, skits, singing (and a bit of hollering at times), and activities that promote physical fitness and personal growth.
 |
Robert Baden-Powell, the Founder of Boy Scouting, summed up the approach to scouting as, "...a game with a purpose." Pack 565 is all about bringing self-esteem, achievement, and character-building to all its members with this venerable philosophy as its guide. |

Scouts: Bobcats to Webelos
I want to be a scout: where do I fit in?
Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. It is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 years of age).

Leadership
How can I get involved as an adult leader?
Few things are as rewarding as making a difference in the life and character of a young man. Scouting not only helps the boys, but family and community as well, and ultimately the world. Is it hard work? It can be; they say you only get out of something as much as you put in. You can dive in deep, or just help with an event now and then. Either way, your son, your family, and the Big Kahuna above, will know you made an effort, a contribution. There is a satisfaction in that effort that can't be bought or achieved in any other way.
Talk to me. I can tell you what it's about. Rick Quinn 425-398-7239
